What Are Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs)? AHAs are exfoliating compounds often referred to as fruit acids. For example, Glycolic Acid is associated with sugar cane, Lactic Acid with milk fermentation, and Citric Acid with citrus fruits. How it Works (Unbuffered Peel): Glycolic Acid at this potency works as an aggressive cosmetic exfoliant. It facilitates the controlled, visible shedding of surface layers, resulting in skin that is visibly revitalized and profoundly smoothed. The process also prepares the skin’s surface to optimize the performance of subsequent hydrating and anti-aging serums.

ATTENTION: ADVANCED USER WARNING. This unbuffered, high-potency peel is highly acidic (low pH) and requires strict adherence to the provided directions. It is recommended for users with established skin tolerance to chemical exfoliants only.

SUNBURN ALERT: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Limit sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 15 or greater is required) while using this product and for a week afterward.

  • :*¨¨*:•. •:*¨¨*:•.WOOT WOOT AGE SPOTS AND SCARS GONE!,

By Lizzette Soto (verified purchase)

Hi. I am 40 years old and battled cyctic acne in my teens up to my twentys which left me with some bad scars . The scars turned very dark brown from tanning which made them uglier! Please believe me when I tell you that I tried EVERY fade cream, bleaching product, etc etc… NOTHING worked! This peel in combination with the 30% salycidic peel has removed them completely! Gone, Gone , Gone my face is flawless! I used to have to use ALOT of concealer and foundation, which sucks because the older I get the worse wearing alot of makeup looked.

ok, This is how I did it… I first washed my face, wiped the scared areas with an alcohol soaked cotton pad ( the kind at the drugstore ) Afterwards I soaked the a pad with first the peel stuff and I patted it on the scars, do not rub! I repeated this until it frosted over ( it will get a white type coating on it) it took 3 passes. I left it on for 5 mins the first time , using a cool setting on my hair dryer to cool it off… you then rinse with luke warm water very well ( I did NOT use baking soda because last time I used that in the water it burnt like hell! ) just water. I let the areas air dry and applied triple antibacterial ointment to the areas. the next day they were really red like a sunburn, by the third day they had scabbed over and turned really dark! don’t let that scare you, it’s doing it’s job pulling the pigment to the surface . The 4th day I peeled and the scars where much lighter… The 5th day I did the same exact thing using the 70% glycolic peel. I alternated these for 4 weeks every 5 days applying one or the other and now the scars / age spots are GONE!

This has made me feel so much more confident, I don’t have to wear all that mess on my face, just a tinted moisturizer!

  • :*¨¨*:•. •:*¨¨*:•. If it burns it’s working!,

By Tina Smith (verified purchase)

Well, Grandma was right when she said “If it burns, it’s working.” First off, I received the product promptly and tried it out that night. Here’s a guide, in case you don’t know;

Take all facial jewellry off, glasses, contacts, everything. Put your hair up so it won’t get in your face. Wash your face with a gentle facial cleanser, taking care to get all makeup off. Dry face off, then apply the glycolic acid treatment to the areas you want. For me, it was almost my entire face. If you’ve suffered through acne (like me) then the stinging won’t even be comparable to some other products you’ve put on (for me the worst was a Vitamin C lotion from Avon).

It tinges and might make you tear up a little. Don’t move your face! The more you move your facial muscles/skin, the more it’ll hurt. Go with how long you can tolerate it, not exceeding 2-10 minutes. Then wash it off thoroughly! You might still have some residual tingling (very small amount) and that’s fine. If you’ve done it correctly, yes, you will have redness, sensitivity, splotches, etc. YOU WILL NOT LOOK GREAT haha. It’s not going to change your complexion instantly. I’m rather miffed at other reviews for this product and how they’re saying it’s burnt their skin. That’s the POINT of an acid peel for goodness sake!

Glycolic acid basically works by disassembling the proteins of your skin cells to remove dead skin and promote new growth. You SHOULD have red splotches, because that means it’s penetrated through. After you’ve rinsed, put on a TON of moisturizer (that’s what your skin needs to keep healthy cells longer!). I personally suggest coconut lotion/oil/whatever. I’ve got some that’s technically for baking, but it’s all coconut in the end. Slather that on regularly, I suggest at least three or four times a day. Your skin’s gonna dry out regardless, which is what we want! This IS a peel after all! Then your skin, depending on sensitivity, dryness, amount of product used, will peel and flake. Each time you peel and flake your skin, you’re going down a tiny dermis layer and starting to dull imperfections such as scars, acne, etc.

So buckle up and prepare yourself for pain, splotches and redness, but in the end I guarantee you’ll love the results of clear, smooth skin! In fact, make a challenge for yourself and take a picture of yourself each time you apply it! I want to see how this is working for people!

  • :*¨¨*:•. •:*¨¨*:•.Awesome stuff!

By Brock Brassell (verified purchase)

I used to spend a fortune at my Skin Care lady’s office and Dermatologist’s, but a little bit of research here and there, the latest technology and discoveries on the skin, plus the internet equals I’m saving big bucks and my skin has never looked better.

I have had the Glycolic peel done several times previously and spent about $150 for each visit. Let me just say, it is sooo nice to be able to buy the product myself and apply it at home for a fraction of the cost.

I read other reviews on here for people that have dry skin. But I have oily skin, so I’m lucky there. I just use a little extra moisturizer after wards and the following day or two and I’m good to go.

What I also like about this Glycolic is it’s a very aggressive treatment but you don’t have the down time of a TCA peel or intense laser treatment. You may see some mild peeling, a few days after. But really, just no social down time and excellent results. GREAT for acne proned skin. Lightens hyper-pigmentation (at least for me) more effectively than just about any product or treatment out there.

I recommend this product all the way!!! Just be conservative with the application and follow the instructions to the T. And you do need to continue to re-apply treatments ongoing, just like working out or anything else. It has to be a “way of life” if you want better skin.

  • :*¨¨*:•. •:*¨¨*:•. confidence in a bottle

By Juanita Hernandez (verified purchase)

After struggling with acne and acne scars for years i was over joyed when i found this product a few years back. see i used to have severe acne as a teen. You know, the kind where acne grows on top of acne and there isn’t a Cm of clear skin! i went to a dermatologist, and after explaining i have used EVERYTHING! salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, Proactive, steam, you name it, I’ve tried it. so he did a couple of treatments with glycolic acid at 15% and then 30% treatments and i had never seen results like i have with it, at a 180$ a treatment i thought it was worth it UNTIL i found this product. i bought a bottle of this when i was 16, read many many articles on how to do the procedure correctly without burning my face, and by the time the bottle was done keep in mind i shared with my mom too so i didn’t even use the whole bottle) my face was completely clear, my scars were 90% gone, and my confidence was through the roof! now at 21 years old, I decided to buy another bottle due to the fact that with graduating college, moving out on my own, starting my career and all of that, stress has brought with it a couple of breakouts.

Why i love this brand, and strength: Its inexpensive and is just as effective as the brand the dermatologist used. Since it is 70% strength, i can dilute it to any percentage under, and can build up to the full strength over time!

just a coupling of things to share with everyone from my experience and reading about Glycolic Acid. Use a lower percentage to start off with so you don’t over ‘burn’ your skin (one of the ways Glycolic acid works is by damaging your skin cells, and forcing your face to regenerate new healthier skin!). Use a pH balance-r afterwards! (to help prevent over damaging skin cells) you can buy a commercial product for this or just use some water (purified is best but not required) and and a bit of baking soda, and splash on your face. lastly use a moisturizer afterwards!!!! again you can use a commercial one specified for this kind of thing but i just use aloe vera plant (helps heal, soothes and moisturizes with lots of vit-E)

  • :*¨¨*:•. •:*¨¨*:•.– It really has worked for me,

By Samantha Bell (verified purchase)

I love the results I have gotten from the gylcolic acid. I cannot tolerate it on my face for a period of more than 2 minutes so my results have been a little slower than others leaving it on longer. In the beginning it caused my face to break out but now that has stopped. I’m getting ready to order my second bottle. Some years ago I had gylcolic acid treatments done by a dermatologist for hundreds of dollars and it didn’t turn at nearly as nice as when I do it myself. But be very cautious with this product.
